White Label Lite lets you present dashboard and webmail access on a domain you control, using your own brand name, logo, and colours. You choose the branded surfaces separately for each domain and can prepare the brand before activating the add-on.
This guide takes you from a saved brand to a working customer address. It also explains which values to copy from the dashboard, what to test before sharing an address, and where platform details can still remain visible.
What it costs
- $39 / month on monthly billing.
- $389 / year on yearly billing, which saves $79 a year over paying monthly.
- Active Starter, Pro, and Agency plans receive the stated 10% White Label discount. The current discounted prices for eligible accounts are $35.10 / month and $350.10 / year. The amount shown before you confirm checkout controls.
- Comes with 10% off current Drive Storage prices for new purchases and resizes while White Label is active.
- The Plans card shows whether your current mail plan can activate the add-on or needs an upgrade first.
Prices are also available in EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, CHF, KRW, SGD, and AED. Select the currency and billing period you want, then review the final amount in checkout. Do not rely on an old screenshot or a price in another account.
Before you start
You'll need:
- A TrekMail account with access to the Plans and Branding screens.
- A domain you control that is already added to TrekMail. Branding is configured per domain, and the branded addresses are subdomains of it. The default labels may be
dashboardandmail, but you can choose suitable available labels in Branding. - Ability to add DNS records at your DNS provider: Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Route 53, Namecheap, whatever you use.
- A payment method if checkout requests one. The available payment options and any verification step are shown during checkout.
If the company that registered your domain does not let you create CNAME records, move DNS management to a provider that does before you activate. You do not need to move the domain registration itself.
Preview the brand before you activate
After you save a brand in the domain's Branding tab, choose Preview live. It opens a branded preview for 72 hours and does not change your DNS. If the link expires, your saved brand remains available and you can create a new preview.
Use the preview to review the brand name, logo, colours, and the customer-facing sign-in experience. The saved brand remains available when you later activate White Label Lite, but a preview is not evidence that your own DNS address is live. Details are in What White Label Lite is.
Choose where to start
There are three practical ways to begin. They all lead to the same per-domain Branding screen:
- Starting from the White Label page: start at the White Label page. After registration, follow the quick setup prompts to choose a domain and save a brand.
- Starting with a domain you already added: open Domains, choose the domain, and open its Branding tab. You can save the name, logos, and colors before paying. Use Activate White Label there when you are ready.
- Starting with plans and pricing: open the Plans page and go to the White Label Lite card near the bottom. This is the clearest route when you want to compare monthly and yearly prices first.
The Billing page also provides Branding and Plans shortcuts while White Label is inactive. Once active, it shows the subscription status, renewal, payment, and cancellation controls.
Choose monthly or yearly billing when you activate. You do not need to repeat work if you already made a preview: the brand you saved carries into the live setup.
Every mail plan includes a 30-day White Label Lite trial. Read the end date, payment requirement, and charge shown in checkout before starting it. See the pricing FAQ for the full terms.
Either way a payment popup opens. Pick any card already saved on your account, or choose New card to enter a fresh one. Apple Pay and Google Pay may appear if supported for the device, region, and transaction. If your bank requires a 3D Secure check, the payment interface may handle it inline or redirect you to the bank. A trial takes no payment that day, but it still needs a card on file. Activation completes after the payment processor confirms the required setup.
Where you land next depends on what you've already done. If you built a brand in the demo or started from a domain's Branding tab, you return to that domain and pick up where you stopped. If you have several domains and have not chosen one yet, you go to the Domains list. White Label is configured per domain, so each domain keeps its own setup state.
You do not need to finish in one sitting. Save the draft first, then return to the domain's Branding tab to see whether each selected host is a draft, waiting for DNS, waiting for SSL, or active.
Set your brand identity
On the domain's Branding tab, start with the Branding source selector:
- Use account default: inherit your account-wide default brand.
- Custom for this domain: give this domain its own brand identity (pick this to fill in the fields below).
- Off: no branding for this domain.
With Custom for this domain selected, fill in Brand identity:
- Brand name: what customers see across the branded dashboard, webmail, and supported transactional-email surfaces. Use the name you want customers to recognise, such as "MyBrand Email".
- Light logo + Dark logo: two separate uploads. The light logo is used on light backgrounds; the dark logo is used on dark backgrounds (dark mode, dark email headers). PNG or JPG, max 1 MB each. Square or near-square looks best, transparent background recommended. SVG isn't supported yet for security reasons.
- Favicon: its own separate upload (PNG, JPG, or ICO, max 1 MB) for the browser tab icon.
- Primary color + Accent color: colour values such as
#3b82f6. The preview shows where they are used before you save.
Under Sender emails (optional):
- Sender address: the From address on supported transactional emails. It must belong to a domain in this account with DKIM verification complete.
- Reply-to address: where replies to those emails should go. Leave it blank for a no-reply flow.
- Help center URL: an optional link to your own help desk or knowledge base.
Click Save changes. Review the on-page preview before you send customers to a new address. Updating brand assets does not replace the DNS records for already configured hosts.
For tips on logo sizing and color contrast, see White Label brand assets.
Turn on your branded URLs
On the same Branding tab, find Branded access. Dashboard and webmail are independent:
- Dashboard URL: the address for account owners and administrators.
- Webmail URL: the address for mailbox users.
Enable either or both. The labels are editable, so choose names that do not conflict with services you already run on the domain. The same label cannot be used for both addresses, and reserved mail or DNS labels cannot be used for a branded dashboard host.
The Mail apps on your domain section is separate. It covers the addresses used by Outlook, Apple Mail, phones, calendars, and contacts. When you turn it on, Branding shows any SPF, IMAP, or DAV records that still need attention. It does not repeat the SMTP record that is already managed on the domain's DNS & Health tab. Follow Your name in your customers' mail apps if you need that feature.
The dashboard and webmail settings can be saved as a draft before the add-on is active. When you activate and save an enabled host, its status moves to Pending DNS until its record is detected.
Click Save changes, then use DNS for your brand on the same tab. Records that need attention appear first, so you do not have to work through a list of records that are already correct. Select Show records already working when you want to review the completed ones. Copy values from this card rather than from an old article, screenshot, or another account.
For a dashboard or webmail address that still needs setup, the card provides a CNAME record:
- Host / Name: the label you chose, such as
dashboardormail - Type:
CNAME - Value / Target: the target currently displayed in your Branding table
- TTL: use your DNS provider's normal or automatic value unless the table says otherwise
- Proxy / Cloudflare orange cloud: OFF (DNS-only / grey cloud)
On Cloudflare, keep that record DNS-only (the grey cloud) so the certificate can be issued. If another DNS provider has a proxy or CDN switch for the CNAME, turn it off unless the Branding table explicitly instructs otherwise.
DNS and certificate work are asynchronous. A detected CNAME may first show SSL pending before it becomes Active. Do not announce the address while either status is still pending. Use Check now on the Branding tab, then return after the status updates. Once the record works, its row moves under Show records already working.
If a host remains pending, first compare its DNS record character-for-character with the Branding table and check that it is not proxied. Then see White Label DNS troubleshooting.
Treat Active as the success signal. Open the exact branded address in a private browser window and sign in with a test account before you share it.
Apply your brand to other domains
The Apply changes section on the Branding tab has two toggles for rolling a brand out across your account:
- Make this the account default: new domains use this brand by default.
- Apply to all existing domains: apply the pattern to eligible existing domains. Domains with their own custom branding are left unchanged.
Leave both off if you only want to brand this single domain. For the full multi-domain picture, see Running multiple White Label brands.
Automate with the API & MCP
Automation is optional. If your account and integration have the required access, the REST API or MCP can read and update branding settings and request a DNS check. Use the dashboard first if you are setting up a brand for the first time.
Keep payment, DNS-provider access, and final readiness checks under deliberate human review. An automated save does not make a host live; it still needs the exact DNS record from Branding and an Active status. See the White Label Branding API and MCP Guide for the supported operations.
Verify your live domain
Once status shows active:
- Open the exact Dashboard URL shown in Branding. Confirm that the sign-in page and dashboard show the intended name, logo, and colours.
- If you enabled a Webmail URL, open that separate address and sign in with a test mailbox. An account-owner password is not a mailbox password.
- Keep the normal platform address available to account owners while you roll out the new customer URL. Send customers the branded address only after the test succeeds.
That's it. You're live.
Before you send the new address to customers
Use this short handoff check:
- Confirm that every address you plan to share shows Active in Branding.
- Open each address in a private browser window. Test the dashboard with an account user and webmail with a mailbox user.
- If you configured a sender or Reply-to address, trigger a safe transactional email and check the From and Reply-to fields.
- Tell customers which address is for the dashboard and which is for webmail. Include a fallback contact route in case they have an old bookmark.
What your customers see
Your saved brand can appear on the customer-facing surfaces supported by the add-on:
- Dashboard and webmail: your name, logo, and colours when you enable the corresponding host.
- The sign-in experience at a working branded host.
- Supported transactional emails: your selected sender and reply-to settings when they are configured.
Some platform details can still remain visible, depending on the surface and the settings you use:
- Billing and subscription communications are for the account owner.
- The standard platform address remains part of account administration.
- Your support process is still your responsibility. Add a Reply-to address and help-centre link if customers need a clear route to you.

Cancel White Label Lite
Open the Billing page, find White Label Lite, and select Cancel White Label Lite. Review the current period end date and the recurring amount before you confirm.
The add-on remains available through the displayed end date. After that date, branded hosts enter a 7-day grace window before they are retired. If cancellation is still pending before the end date, Billing lets you keep the existing subscription. Once the period has ended, follow the Plans flow to subscribe again and then check every host in Branding.
Before the grace window ends, keep your own copy of brand assets, colours, hostnames, and DNS records. Do not rely on an indefinite restoration path for a retired host. Contact support if you need a specific deletion outcome.
For full details on the grace window, refunds, and what happens to your branded URLs, see Canceling White Label Lite.
Common scenarios
"My status is still 'Pending DNS' after I added the CNAME." Reopen the DNS provider and compare the record's host, type, value, and proxy setting with the current Branding table. A record at the wrong hostname or behind Cloudflare's orange cloud will not pass. If they match, request a DNS recheck and allow the status to update. See White Label DNS troubleshooting if it remains pending.
"Status says that SSL could not be issued." The CNAME may already be correct, so do not keep changing it blindly. Check the troubleshooting guide for DNS restrictions such as CAA records, then contact support with the hostname, its displayed status, and a screenshot of the relevant DNS record.
"My logo looks blurry." Upload a higher-resolution PNG, save it, and compare the light and dark previews before you share the branded address. Use the version that remains clear at the size shown in the sign-in screen and navigation.
"Where do customer replies go?" Configure the sender settings on the Branding tab:
- Sender address: choose an address on a domain in this account that has DKIM verification complete.
- Reply-to address: choose the inbox that should receive customer replies. Leave it blank only when you intentionally want a no-reply flow.
For a detailed sender setup, see Sending branded emails from your own domain.
"Can I run two brands from one TrekMail account?" Yes. Branding is per domain. Add a domain for each brand and set its Branding source to Custom for this domain on the Branding tab. See Running multiple White Label brands.
