White Label Lite is a paid add-on that applies your brand to supported customer-facing surfaces. Your customers can see your domain, logo, name, and colors on branded hosts and messages. The underlying email service and account relationship remain TrekMail.

This is the overview article. If you're trying to set it up, jump straight to Set up White Label Lite.

What it does

Four things, packaged together:

  • Branded URLs: configured per domain. You choose the dashboard and webmail host labels, then publish the CNAME records displayed on that domain’s Branding page. TrekMail verifies DNS and provisions the host before it becomes live.
  • Full UI rebrand: your logo replaces ours in the sidebar and login screen. Your name appears in page titles and email signatures. Your primary and accent colors theme the UI accents and the branded email header.
  • Branded transactional emails: the password reset, mailbox-invite, and account notification emails go out from a "from" name you set. If you fill in a Support email, those emails get a Reply-To pointing at you, so your customers reply to you, not bounce off our no-reply. Optionally point a Help center URL at your own knowledge base and every email gets a "Need help?" link in the footer.
  • Client & Team Access: invite clients and staff into the branded dashboard, with roles and domain access you choose. See Give your clients and staff their own login.

It's "Lite" because we keep one TrekMail billing relationship per account: billing and support escalation still go through us, even though you can brand as many domains as you like under that account. If you need separate billing entities each with their own invoicing, contact sales. That's outside what Lite supports.

Who it's for

You probably want White Label Lite if you're:

  • A digital agency selling email hosting to clients as part of a broader package, and you want the email service to look like yours, not a third party's.
  • A reseller or SaaS bundling email with another product, and you don't want a "Powered by TrekMail" line visible to your customers.
  • A consultant offering managed email to small businesses, and you want branded URLs to send clients.
  • An established brand that doesn't want a different vendor's logo in their employees' inboxes when they reset their password.

You probably don't need it if you're:

  • A small team that doesn't care about the surface branding, because the underlying product is identical.

What it costs

  • $39 / month on monthly billing.
  • $389 / year on yearly billing, which saves $79 a year over paying monthly.
  • Paid mail plans receive the stated 10% White Label discount; the current discounted prices for eligible accounts are $35.10 / month and $350.10 / year.
  • Comes with a 10% discount on current Drive Storage prices for new purchases and resizes while White Label is active.

Available as an add-on on every plan: Nano, Starter, Pro and Agency. Active Starter, Pro, and Agency plans receive 10% off White Label Lite. The checkout disclosure shows the applicable price, billing period, trial conversion date, and first charge before confirmation.

Other currencies (EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, CHF, KRW, SGD, AED) are priced at the same spread used across TrekMail plans. The currency is locked once you subscribe: a Stripe limitation, not ours.

What it does NOT do

A clear list of what's outside the Lite tier:

  • No separate accounts, and no separate billing. Everything lives under one account with one billing relationship. Standard Team roles do not include billing; configure a Custom role only when you explicitly intend to delegate a billing permission. A client membership is not a separate account or invoice. If you need separate billing entities, use separate TrekMail accounts. See Running multiple White Label brands.
  • No control over the help center URL. Our docs (the ones you're reading right now) stay at trekmail.net/docs. Your customers shouldn't normally end up here, because you handle support directly. See What stays TrekMail-branded for the full list.
  • No own Stripe / payment processing. Your customers don't see your billing surface; you bill them however you like, and TrekMail bills you for the underlying service.
  • No removal of every technical platform reference. Technical browser details may still identify the underlying platform even though they do not appear in normal use.

What changes after you activate

The moment activation completes:

  • You're sent to the Branding tab to enter your brand name, logos, and colors for a domain.
  • You turn on the Dashboard URL and/or Webmail URL toggles and add the CNAME records shown for that domain on the Branding page.
  • TrekMail verifies the CNAME and provisions a certificate before the branded host becomes active. DNS and certificate timing vary, so use the host’s displayed status rather than a fixed wait time.
  • Your dashboard and webmail start serving from the active branded host names you configured. Keep a known working platform dashboard address available for account administration.

Outgoing emails immediately start using your brand. Existing customers who were already using trekmail.net URLs continue to work without disruption. You just direct new traffic to your branded URL going forward.

Automate with the API & MCP

Branding isn't dashboard-only. The same brand identity, logos, branded-host toggles, and DNS verification are exposed through the TrekMail REST API and MCP, so an AI agent (Claude, OpenClaw) or your own integration can set up branding, or roll it out across many domains, entirely programmatically. It's the same per-domain branding the dashboard writes; the API is just another way in. See the White Label Branding API and MCP Guide.

See it on your own brand before you decide

You can use Preview live from the Plans page or a domain’s Branding tab to inspect branding before activating.

Choose a domain, add the brand details requested by the preview, and open the generated preview link. It uses a temporary hosted address and does not publish DNS for your domain.

If you'd rather not fill anything in first, there's a finished example brand you can open straight away and click around.

Two things worth knowing:

  • Nothing goes live. The preview runs on a temporary address of ours. Your own domain is untouched and no DNS is needed.
  • Your work is kept. Brand details saved for the selected domain remain available when you later activate, subject to the account’s current branding settings.

The preview link remains available for 72 hours. If it expires, your saved brand is unchanged and you can start a new preview from the same place.

How activation, billing, and cancellation work

Activation is available wherever you naturally meet White Label: the quick setup after registering from the White Label page, any domain's Branding tab, or the White Label card near the bottom of the Plans page. The Billing page points to Branding and Plans before activation, then shows the subscription controls after activation.

All three paths preserve the same work. If you already built a preview, activation returns you to that domain instead of making you enter the brand again. If you have several domains and have not selected one, TrekMail opens Domains so you can choose. Every mail plan includes the 30-day trial; checkout shows its terms before you confirm. See the pricing FAQ for the current billing details.

Billing runs on a separate Stripe subscription from your mail plan: same payment method, different line item on the invoice. If your mail plan renews on the 1st and you bought White Label on the 15th, White Label renews on the 15th of each subsequent month or year.

Cancellation is also self-serve from the Billing page. The add-on stays active until the end of your current billing period; after that, your branded domain stops serving 7 days later (the grace window for reactivation). Full detail: Canceling White Label Lite.
