TrekMail webmail supports new messages, inline replies, rich formatting, attachments, scheduling, and draft recovery on desktop and mobile. This guide describes the controls that are currently available.

Open the composer

  • Click Compose, or press C when you are not typing in a field.
  • Open a message and click Reply, Reply all, or Forward.
  • On mobile, tap the floating compose button.
  • Use Pop out on an inline reply when you want a larger floating composer.

Add recipients

Enter one or more addresses in To. Separate pasted addresses with commas or semicolons. Use the Cc and Bcc controls when required.

While the composer is open:

  • Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + C shows Cc.
  • Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + B shows Bcc.

Format the message

Open the formatting toolbar with the Aa button. Depending on the compose surface, the toolbar includes:

  • Undo and redo
  • Bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough
  • Bulleted and numbered lists
  • Indent and outdent
  • Quoted text
  • Links and inline images
  • Remove formatting

The composer sends rich HTML email. There is currently no separate plain-text compose mode or code-block tool.

Add inline images

Inline images appear inside the message body. You can:

  1. Click the image button and choose an image.
  2. Paste an image from the clipboard into the editor.
  3. Drag a single image into the message editor.

Inline images count toward the message's attachment limits even though they appear in the body.

Attach files

Click the paperclip and select one or more files, or drag files into the composer outside the message editor.

For normal MIME attachments:

  • Up to 20 files are accepted per message.
  • Normal attachments and inline images may total up to 25 MB combined.
  • Send remains unavailable while an upload is still in progress.

Files larger than 18 MB use Drive

A file larger than 18 MB is uploaded to TrekMail Drive and sent as a public download link instead of a normal MIME attachment. The generated link starts with a 100-download limit. The file must fit in the mailbox's available Drive storage.

Drive supports multipart uploads for large files and does not impose a separate small email-attachment ceiling. For details about storage, links, and expiry controls, see Sending Large Attachments via Drive.

You can also choose a file that is already in Drive and add its link without uploading it again.

Choose the From address

The From menu contains only addresses currently authorized to send:

  • The mailbox's primary address
  • Active aliases with Allow sending from this address enabled
  • Shared mailboxes you are allowed to send from
  • Connected Gmail, Outlook, and other accounts
  • Extra business From addresses, with or without a connected inbox behind them

Main mailbox and alias addresses are maintained automatically. To change a display name, Reply-To, signature, default address, reply policy, or the sending service for an extra business From address, open Settings → Sending addresses. See Sending Addresses, Signatures, and Templates.

If a business address forwards into Gmail or another connected inbox, it can be linked to that inbox so replies use the business address automatically. See Send From a Business Address Using Gmail. If the mail is forwarded in from a provider you have not connected — a client domain still hosted elsewhere, say — add the address without an inbox instead. See Send From a Domain You Do Not Host.

When switching From addresses, confirm that the correct signature is shown before sending. Webmail swaps the managed signature block without removing the message text you already wrote.

Undo a send

After you click Send, webmail holds the message for five seconds and shows an Undo action. Click Undo during that window to reopen the composer with its recipients, subject, body, and attachments.

The five-second delay is built in and is not currently configurable. Once it expires and delivery begins, the message cannot be recalled from recipients' mailboxes.

Schedule a send

Use the arrow next to Send to choose one of the current quick presets:

  • Tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM
  • Tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 PM
  • Monday morning at 8:00 AM

The times use your browser's local timezone, which is shown in the scheduling menu. Scheduled messages appear in the Scheduled folder until the send time.

Scheduling is available for your own mailbox. It is not currently available while composing in a shared mailbox. Review the recipients, subject, attachments, and selected preset before scheduling.

Drafts and recovery

Webmail autosaves an open message approximately every 30 seconds and also makes a best effort to save when the page is being closed. Saved messages appear in Drafts.

To continue a draft:

  1. Open Drafts.
  2. Select the message; it opens in the composer.
  3. Continue editing and send when ready.

There is no dedicated Ctrl/Cmd + S draft shortcut. Browser or network failures can still interrupt a save, so check the Drafts folder after an unexpected close.

Keyboard shortcuts used while composing

Shortcut Action
Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + C Show Cc
Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + B Show Bcc
Ctrl/Cmd + Enter Send

Outside text fields, C opens a new message, R replies to an open message, A replies to all, and F forwards. Press ? in webmail for the current shortcut list.
