You can pay for TrekMail plans by card through Stripe. The available methods and billing options are shown during checkout and on the Billing page. Card-based subscriptions can renew automatically when a saved default payment method is available.
Supported Payment Methods
The Stripe Payment Element shows the methods available for your region and device. The menu has two groups:
Methods that auto-renew (savable as your default)
- Credit and debit cards supported by Stripe.
The TrekMail Billing page currently manages saved cards for renewals. A wallet or another method offered in a checkout is not automatically available as a saved renewal method.
Methods for one-time purchases only
The Stripe Payment Element may also surface:
- Other region-specific methods that Stripe offers for the particular one-time purchase.
Some one-time methods cannot be saved for a background renewal. Treat the options shown at checkout as current; Stripe availability can vary by region and change over time.
How to Add or Update a Card
To start a subscription or update your payment method:
- Log in to your TrekMail Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Billing tab in the sidebar.
- Click Add payment method or Update default.
- Enter the details in the secure Stripe form and complete any bank verification it requests.
- Confirm on the Billing page that the payment method was saved and, if needed, make it the default.
Saving Cards for Future Use
When you add a card, it is securely saved to your customer profile in Stripe. TrekMail does not store your card numbers directly. We only retain the last 4 digits and expiration date to display in your Billing overview so you know which card is active.
Tax and company details
Review the final tax and total shown by Stripe before confirming. Automatic tax is calculated only when it is enabled and the required Stripe tax registrations and customer location details are in place. Company country and tax ID fields saved in TrekMail are local account details; saving them does not by itself activate tax collection or guarantee their appearance on a Stripe document.
Troubleshooting Payment Issues
Transaction Failed
If your card is declined:
- Check funds and limits: Ensure the account has sufficient funds.
- Bank authorization: Some banks block international or subscription transactions. Call your bank to authorize "TrekMail" or "Stripe".
- Retry: Once you have cleared the issue with your bank, you can retry the payment from the Invoices section or by re-adding the card.
Recurring payment failed
If a renewal fails, open Billing, update the payment method if needed, and use Pay beside the unpaid invoice to make an immediate attempt. See Fixing Failed Payments for grace and recovery rules.
Where to Find Receipts?
Open Billing to view the available invoice or receipt action for a charge. The document and link type depend on the payment rail and invoice status.
