Verify Emails from the TrekMail Dashboard

The dashboard verifier has three stages: Prepare, Verify and Results. Use it when you want a clear preview of the list, its credit cost and the evidence behind each result.

Open the verifier

Select Email Verifier in the TrekMail sidebar. The credit panel shows what you can spend, and the history below the wizard shows previous jobs. Your TrekMail sign-in email must be verified before you can start or cancel a job.

1. Prepare

Choose Quick for the core 23 checks or Deep for the additional review available for a more uncertain list. The mode cards explain the difference, and the estimate uses the cost that applies to the actual addresses you entered.

Add addresses in either way:

• Paste a list, a spreadsheet column or text containing addresses.
• Upload a .csv, .xlsx or .txt file up to 10 MB.

TrekMail extracts addresses and removes duplicates. For a spreadsheet, use a clear email column and check the extracted count. A submitted job can contain up to 50,000 unique addresses.

Choose the right input path

Use Paste for a copied column or text snippet. Use Upload for a saved contact export. If a large block of pasted text is rejected, split it into smaller parts or upload a supported file instead. The dashboard is designed to extract addresses, but it cannot determine whether the source list is permission-based or whether a spreadsheet column has the business meaning you intended.

For an XLSX file, put the contact list on the first sheet and make the email column clear. For a CSV, inspect the result if the file contains more than one address-like column. If names or internal notes appear in the preview, return to the source before you start.

Before you start, the summary shows the selected mode, number of addresses and exact credit charge. This is the right time to go back and fix an unexpected column or sample size.

2. Verify

Select Start Verification to create the job. Credits are deducted when it starts. The progress view shows the job state and the result totals as work completes. Deep jobs can also show progress for their additional checks.

You can leave the page or close the browser. The job keeps running in the background. When you open the job again, the dashboard returns you to its current stage.

If the exact same normalized list is submitted again in the same mode within 24 hours, TrekMail directs you to the existing job instead of charging it again.

Leave safely and return later

The job is not tied to an open browser tab. You can navigate away after it has started. To return, select the job in the history table or open its dashboard link while signed in to the same permitted account. If a page refresh looks uncertain, check history before submitting again.

3. Results

When results are available, use the status filter to focus on Safe, Valid, Risky, Invalid or Unknown rows. Select a row to see the checks and risk factors recorded for that address.

Use the categories as a starting point:

• Safe and Valid are the groups with the strongest available evidence.
• Risky needs more caution or a separate, permission-based follow-up.
• Invalid should be corrected or removed before sending.
• Unknown has no reliable conclusion. Try again later or leave it out of a sensitive campaign.

The job link in the browser keeps the selected job when you refresh. Access still follows your account permissions, so do not treat that link as a public share link.

Inspect a row before acting on it

The detail view is especially useful when a result would affect a large segment. It shows the recorded checks and risk factors rather than forcing you to guess from the score. For example, a likely domain typo should be corrected at the source, while a missing domain signal may simply justify more careful sending rather than a blanket deletion.

Download results

Download a completed, partial or cancelled job once it contains processed rows. You can choose all results, an individual status, or combined groups such as Safe + Valid and Safe + Valid + Risky. CSV exports include the email address, status, trust score, provider and risk factors. A plain-text address list is also available from the dashboard export.

Results remain available for 15 days. Save the export you need before the retention period ends.

Cancel or delete a job

You can cancel a pending or running job. TrekMail keeps the processed rows and refunds the credits for work that was not processed. A cancelled job with processed rows remains downloadable.

To permanently remove a finished job and its results, delete it from the dashboard. Cancel a running job first.

Deletion is for removing the job and its stored input from the verifier. It does not undo an export you already downloaded or remove the same contacts from another system. Update those systems separately if that is your goal.

What Deep results mean

Deep may show extra information from the receiving mail system. That information can be accepted, rejected, deferred, skipped or unavailable. It is evidence, not a guarantee: a remote provider may hide mailbox state, accept all test recipients or decline to answer. Read it alongside the other checks and your knowledge of the contact.

If the dashboard displays an error, keep the job ID and the exact message. Check your credit balance and account email verification first, then contact support with only the information needed to find the job. Do not put an API token, mailbox password or a full contact list into a ticket.
