Add Your iCloud Email to TrekMail
If you use an @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com address, you can connect it to TrekMail and read and send from it alongside your other mail. Apple keeps things secure by asking for an "app-specific password" — a one-time password just for mail apps. Creating one is quick, and this guide walks you through it.
Before you start
Your Apple Account needs two-factor authentication turned on — almost every Apple Account already has it. If yours doesn't, turn it on first in your iPhone or Mac settings under your name → Sign-In & Security, then come back here.
Create an app-specific password
- Sign in at account.apple.com.
- Open the Sign-In & Security section and choose App-Specific Passwords.
- Click the plus (or Generate an app-specific password), name it
TrekMail, and confirm. - Apple shows a password like
abcd-efgh-ijkl-mnop. Copy it exactly, dashes included.
This password is shown only once. If you lose it, just delete it and make a new one — that also instantly cuts off anything using the old one.
Add it in TrekMail
- In TrekMail webmail, click your profile picture (top-right) → Settings → Connected accounts.
- Click Connect an account and type your iCloud address. TrekMail recognizes it and fills in Apple's mail servers.
- Paste the app-specific password from the step above.
- Click Test connection, then Save once it passes.
Your iCloud mail now appears in the sidebar under Connected accounts, ready to read, reply, and include in All inboxes.
If it won't connect
iCloud connections almost always fail for one of two reasons: using your normal Apple password instead of the app-specific one, or two-factor authentication not being enabled. Double-check both, generate a fresh app-specific password if needed, and try again. If you use a custom domain hosted on iCloud, use your full custom address as the username. Still stuck?
