Why Does My DNS Status Never Turn Green?
DNS propagation usually takes 5-15 minutes. If it's been longer, here's what to check.
Most Common Issues
Duplicate SPF Records
Problem: You have two TXT records at @.
Fix: Keep only ONE SPF record. Merge the includes:
v=spf1 include:spf.trekmail.net include:_spf.google.com ~all
DKIM Too Long
Problem: Some providers split long TXT records incorrectly.
Fix: Ask your DNS provider how to handle 2048-bit keys, or manually concatenate the strings.
Wrong DMARC Host
Problem: You added DMARC at @ instead of _dmarc.
Fix: Delete the root record and re-add it at _dmarc.
How to Debug
- Click View Conflicts in TrekMail to see what we found vs. what we expected.
- Use a global DNS checker like
