Overview
Your affiliate dashboard is the central hub for everything related to your partnership with TrekMail. This article walks you through the Overview tab — the first screen you see when you open the Affiliate section.
To access it, click Affiliate in the left sidebar of your TrekMail dashboard.
You do not need to wait for final approval to use the workspace. As soon as you enroll or start an affiliate application, TrekMail unlocks the dashboard so you can prepare links, review analytics, and monitor commissions. Approval is still required before payouts can be requested.
Balance cards
At the top of the Overview tab you will find three cards showing your financial position at a glance:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Pending | Commissions that have been earned but are still inside the 30-day hold period. These are not yet available to withdraw. |
| Available | Commissions that have cleared the hold period and are ready to be included in a payout request. Once this reaches $50, you can request a payout. |
| Total paid out | The cumulative amount TrekMail has already paid to you across all past payouts. |
Note: The 30-day hold period exists to account for refunds and chargebacks. A commission moves from Pending to Available automatically once 30 days have passed from the date it was earned.
Performance snapshot
Below the balance cards, the performance snapshot shows your key metrics for the current period:
- Clicks — the number of times your affiliate links have been clicked
- Signups — visitors from your links who created a TrekMail account
- Paid conversions — signups who went on to activate a paid subscription
- Conversion rate (CVR) — the percentage of clicks that resulted in a paid conversion
These numbers update in real time. You can see a more detailed breakdown by link and date range in the Analytics tab.
Top links
The top links section shows your highest-performing affiliate links, ranked by paid conversions. For each link you can see the custom code, total clicks, and conversions.
This makes it easy to see which channels or campaigns are driving actual revenue — not just traffic. If one link consistently outperforms others, consider building more content around the same audience or angle.
Journey checklist
The journey checklist on the Overview tab tracks your onboarding progress. It shows four steps:
- Affiliate workspace enabled — completed automatically when you access the affiliate section
- Complete payout and profile details — add your PayPal or Stripe payout details so finance can process your withdrawals when the time comes
- Submit your application — apply for the affiliate program and wait for review
- Tax profile submitted — complete your W-9, W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E tax form electronically in the dashboard so your payout is not held up by a missing compliance document
Steps can be completed in any order. We recommend completing the payout details and tax profile before your application is reviewed, so nothing slows down your first commission.
