Your referral link is unique to your TrekMail account. When a new person uses it, completes a qualifying paid activation, and the referral is confirmed, it adds one free-month reward to your account record. There is no form to submit, but confirmation is not immediate.

This guide shows you where to find your link, how to share it effectively, and what happens after someone clicks it.

Finding your referral link

  1. Log in to the TrekMail Dashboard.
  2. Find the Referrals card on the Dashboard.
  3. Your unique referral link is displayed in the card. It looks like trekmail.net/r/your-code.
  4. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard

Keep this link handy. You can use it as many times as you like, from as many places as you like.

White Label Lite users: your referral link uses trekmail.net/r/your-code, regardless of the brand you use for customers. Do not substitute a branded domain because referral tracking begins on trekmail.net. See The Referred User Experience for details.

Sharing on LinkedIn

LinkedIn can work well for referrals because it reaches people who may need business email for their own domains.

Tips for LinkedIn:

  • Write a short post explaining why you use TrekMail. Your own experience is more useful than a generic pitch.
  • Include the link in the post body, not only in comments.
  • Tag the post with relevant topics like #email #domains #smallbusiness if appropriate
  • You can also share the link directly in LinkedIn messages with specific contacts who you know are looking for an email solution

Sharing on Facebook

Facebook is useful if you are part of groups or communities of freelancers, agency owners, domain investors, or small business owners.

Tips for Facebook:

  • Post in relevant groups rather than only on your personal timeline.
  • Describe a specific problem TrekMail solves, not just a generic "great tool" endorsement
  • Include your referral link in the post text

Sharing by email

Sending a personal email to someone is often the most effective referral of all. A message from someone they know and trust carries far more weight than any ad.

Tips for email referrals:

  • Address one specific person and explain why you think TrekMail would help them
  • Keep it short. Two or three sentences and your link are enough.
  • Do not send unsolicited bulk promotional email with your TrekMail mailbox. This can violate the acceptable-use policy and harm delivery.

Other places to share

  • In your email signature: add a short line such as "I use TrekMail for custom-domain email: [link]."
  • In blog posts or YouTube descriptions: add the link only where TrekMail is relevant to the content.
  • On X or another social network: share a short, accurate testimonial with the link.
  • In chat communities: answer a relevant question first, then share the link if the community rules allow it.

What happens when someone clicks your link

  1. The person opens your referral link and is taken to the TrekMail home page.
  2. Their browser stores the referral connection for 30 days.
  3. They create a new account in that browser and complete a qualifying paid activation.
  4. The referral reward is recorded as pending, then confirmed after its 14-day confirmation period.
  5. Your Dashboard updates with the confirmed referral and its free-month reward.

The card shows your confirmed count, free-month rewards, discount progress, and referral link. It does not show a click-by-click list or the other person's identity.

Referral link best practices

Be honest. Do not make claims about TrekMail that are not true. A clear recommendation helps the right people decide whether it fits their needs.

One link, many uses. Use the same copied link for each channel. You do not need a fresh link for every post or conversation.

Do not spam. Repeated posts and unsolicited mass messages can violate community rules and harm your reputation. Focus on genuine recommendations to people who would benefit.
