Critical Warnings
- Data Loss: All emails stored in this mailbox are permanently deleted. We cannot recover them.
- Aliases: All aliases associated with this mailbox are automatically deleted. The alias addresses become available for reuse by other mailboxes on your account.
- Webmail data: Your webmail profile (contacts, saved searches, settings) is automatically removed along with the mailbox.
- Bounces: Anyone sending email to this address (or any of its aliases) after deletion will receive a "550 User not found" bounce message (unless you set up a Catch-all).
Alternatives to deletion
If you want to keep receiving mail but stop the user from logging in:
- Change the password (locks out the user).
- Enable Forwarding to your address.
- Disable "Keep a copy" (so storage doesn't fill up).
