The Drive Add-on is an optional subscription that expands your TrekMail storage pool. You pick a size, you pick a billing period, and the bytes stack on top of whatever your plan already includes, no migration, no separate Drive product, no separate login.

This guide covers the price ladder, the billing options, the currencies, and how to think about which size is right for you.

What you get

The Add-on adds GB to your account-wide storage pool. The pool is shared by email, mailbox files, and account files, see Pooled Storage Quotas Explained for the full accounting.

Whatever size you pick is added to your plan's base storage. A Pro account on 50 GB plus a 5 TB Drive Add-on has 5,050 GB of pool, period. There's no separate "Drive only" capacity that competes with email, the Add-on is generic storage capacity that anything in your account can use.

The Add-on is independent of your mail plan. A Starter account can buy 100 TB; an Agency account can stay on the included 200 GB. You can buy the Add-on, resize it, or cancel it without touching your mail subscription.

The price ladder

Nine snap-point sizes are available, from 250 GB up to 100 TB. Beyond that, contact sales for a custom quote.

USD pricing:

Size Monthly Yearly Yearly = N months free
250 GB $3.20 $32 ~2 months free
500 GB $5.60 $56 ~2 months free
1 TB $11.20 $112 ~2 months free
2 TB $22.40 $224 ~2 months free
5 TB $56 $560 ~2 months free
10 TB $112 $1,120 ~2 months free
20 TB $224 $2,240 ~2 months free
50 TB $560 $5,600 ~2 months free
100 TB $1,120 $11,200 ~2 months free

These are the current prices for new purchases and resizes. Entry tiers are reduced by 20% from the previous Drive ladder, and 1–100 TB is normalized from the new 500 GB price so a larger tier never costs more per GB. That makes the reduction as much as 25.3% on the USD standard ladder. The yearly column includes the 17% annual discount, which is roughly two months free. At the listed USD prices, yearly costs less than paying monthly for ten months.

Currencies

The Add-on is priced in 10 currencies. The slider on the Plans page shows your local pricing automatically:

  • USD: United States dollar
  • EUR: euro
  • GBP: British pound
  • CAD: Canadian dollar
  • AUD: Australian dollar
  • JPY: Japanese yen
  • CHF: Swiss franc
  • KRW: South Korean won
  • SGD: Singapore dollar
  • AED: UAE dirham

Once you subscribe in a given currency, that currency is locked for your subscription. You can't change a USD subscription to EUR mid-flight; if you need to switch currencies, cancel the existing subscription and start a new one in the new currency. This is a Stripe limitation, not ours.

The 17% annual discount applies in every currency. The savings work out to roughly two months free regardless of which currency you pay in.

White Label Lite Drive discount

If your account has an active White Label Lite subscription, every current Drive Add-on tier is 10% cheaper than the current standard price. The discount is automatic for a new Drive purchase or resize while White Label is active. No coupon code, no support ticket.

USD pricing with the White Label discount applied:

Size Standard monthly With White Label Standard yearly With White Label
250 GB $3.20 $2.88 $32 $28.80
500 GB $5.60 $5.04 $56 $50.40
1 TB $11.20 $10.08 $112 $100.80
2 TB $22.40 $20.16 $224 $201.60
5 TB $56 $50.40 $560 $504
10 TB $112 $100.80 $1,120 $1,008
20 TB $224 $201.60 $2,240 $2,016
50 TB $560 $504 $5,600 $5,040
100 TB $1,120 $1,008 $11,200 $10,080

Other currencies use the same exact 10% discount in Stripe-native minor units. The exact ladder is shown on the Plans page once your White Label subscription is active.

The discounts stack. Yearly Drive billing is still 17% cheaper than monthly, on top of the White Label 10%. A 5 TB Drive Add-on:

  • Standard monthly: $56/mo → $672/yr
  • Standard yearly (17% off): $560/yr
  • White Label monthly (10% off): $50.40/mo → $604.80/yr
  • White Label yearly (10% + 17%): $504/yr, saves $56/yr vs standard yearly, $100.80/yr vs White Label monthly.

This first pricing release does not bulk-migrate existing Drive subscriptions. Stripe Price objects are immutable, so an existing subscription stays on its current Price ID until TrekMail reviews and moves it separately. New purchases and resizes select the current account-aware price. There is no retroactive refund or unannounced automatic price switch in this release.

Subscribe to White Label first, then add or resize Drive, and the checkout uses the current discounted ladder immediately.

Above 100 TB

The slider stops at 100 TB. Accounts with genuine multi-petabyte needs are rare and we'd rather have a real conversation than auto-bill someone for a tier that may not actually fit their workflow.

If you need more than 100 TB, contact our sales team. We can usually arrange custom pricing, dedicated infrastructure, or a hybrid setup, depending on what you actually need. Hard cap is 1 PB per account at the platform level.

Picking the right size

A rough guide:

  • 250 GB: solo or small team that sends the occasional large file via download link.
  • 500 GB to 1 TB: small team sharing brand assets across mailboxes and replacing email attachments with download links regularly.
  • 2 TB to 5 TB: multiple clients, multiple shared folders, regular large file deliveries (video, design, photos).
  • 10 TB and up: bulk archives, high-volume file delivery, or using Drive as primary storage.

The Add-on is easy to resize: start small and bump up if you fill it. There's no penalty for adjusting except a couple of clicks.

How resizing works

In Billing, click the Drive Add-on row to open its detail page. There's a slider showing your current size; drag it to a new tier and confirm.

Upgrades take effect after payment is confirmed. The new capacity is then available for use, and Stripe charges the prorated difference for the rest of the billing cycle. If you go from 1 TB to 5 TB on day 15 of a 30-day month, you pay roughly half of the price difference for the remaining half-cycle.

For a downgrade, choose when it takes effect. Apply now reduces the capacity today and puts the prorated credit on the next Drive Add-on invoice. Apply at next renewal keeps your current capacity through the paid period and changes the size at renewal, with no charge or credit today.

Both choices require your current pooled usage to fit in the smaller capacity. If you're using 4 TB and choose 1 TB, the change is blocked until you delete data or choose a larger target.

The full resize flow is covered in Upgrading or Downgrading Storage.

Billing details

A few things worth knowing about the billing experience.

Same payment method as your mail plan. The Add-on is its own subscription line in Stripe, but it bills to whatever default card or payment method is on file for your account. You don't manage two separate cards.

Separate billing date from your mail plan. Add-on subscriptions start the day you purchase them. If your mail plan renews on the 1st and you bought the Add-on on the 15th, the Add-on renews on the 15th of each subsequent month. The two cycles run independently.

Failed payment handling. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries automatically over a few days. During that window your storage stays active and you'll see a banner asking you to update your payment method. If retries fail entirely, the Add-on is canceled and the standard cancellation flow runs: 7 days in read-only grace, then permanent over-quota Drive file deletion if the account still exceeds its remaining storage cap (covered in Canceling Drive Add-on).

Invoices. Check Billing for the invoice and any proration details after a successful charge or resize.

API and MCP boundary

TrekMail Drive is also available through the REST API and MCP server for scoped automation. The complete local stdio catalog currently has 261 tools, including 42 Drive tools; each connection receives only the tools allowed by its scopes, plan, toolsets, transport, and safety gates. Agents can read folders, upload files, create public share links, run reviewed bulk operations, and check storage status.

Drive Add-on billing remains user-controlled: purchase, resize, and cancel actions are handled in the dashboard, not through API or MCP write tools. For API and AI-agent integration, see Drive API Overview and Drive MCP Tools Overview.
