White Label Lite is a flat-rate add-on with one price per billing period. No tiers, no usage metering, no per-customer fees — it doesn't matter whether you have one mailbox or a hundred behind your brand. This article answers the billing questions that come up most often.
For the overview of what the add-on actually does, see What is White Label Lite?. For the cancellation flow, see Canceling White Label Lite.
The price
| Period | USD price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $39 / month | Custom domain, branded UI, branded emails, 30% off Drive Storage |
| Yearly | $389 / year | Same as monthly, plus you save $79 a year over paying monthly |
That's it. Two prices. No setup fee, no per-customer charge, no email-volume metering.
The yearly discount works out to roughly two months free. If you're confident you'll keep the add-on for at least nine months, yearly wins on cost.
Currencies
White Label Lite is priced in 10 currencies. The currency shown on the Plans page is taken from your account's billing currency — set at signup and updated when you change your mail plan's currency.
- USD — United States dollar
- EUR — euro
- GBP — British pound
- CAD — Canadian dollar
- AUD — Australian dollar
- JPY — Japanese yen
- CHF — Swiss franc
- KRW — South Korean won
- SGD — Singapore dollar
- AED — UAE dirham
Once you subscribe in a given currency, that currency is locked for your subscription. You can't change a USD subscription to EUR mid-flight — if you need to switch, cancel and resubscribe in the new currency. This is a Stripe limitation, not ours.
The 17% annual discount applies in every currency. The savings work out to roughly two months free regardless of which one you pay in.
How yearly billing actually charges you
Yearly subscribers pay the full $389 (or local equivalent) up front, once per year. If you activate on March 15, the next charge lands on March 15 of the following year.
There's no monthly statement for yearly subscribers — Stripe sends a single annual invoice each renewal. You can download all your invoices any time from the Billing page.
Switching between monthly and yearly
We don't currently support a single-click switch between monthly and yearly. If you want to switch:
- Wait for your current billing cycle to come close to its end.
- Cancel the existing subscription a few days before renewal.
- Resubscribe in the new period.
This avoids paying for overlap. Stripe doesn't penalize the cancel-and-resubscribe pattern — you just get a fresh start in the new period.
If you cancel mid-cycle and want to switch immediately, you'll pay for the rest of the current cycle (it's already covered) and then start the new cycle the day you resubscribe. No refund for the unused portion of the canceled cycle.
Proration
Activation mid-cycle: Stripe prorates automatically. If you activate on day 15 of a 30-day month at $39/month, you're charged about $19.50 for the partial cycle, and the next full cycle charge is $39.
Cancellation mid-cycle: the subscription stays active until the end of the cycle you've already paid for. No prorated refund — you keep the value you paid for through the cycle end.
Yearly cancellation mid-year: the same rule applies. If you cancel six months in, the subscription stays active for the remaining six months and the brand stays live. No automatic refund — you paid for the year, you get the year.
If you have unusual circumstances (charged in error, billing dispute, you're closing the account entirely), contact support. We handle case-by-case.
Taxes and VAT
TrekMail charges tax based on your billing address, where applicable. The tax appears as a separate line on your invoice — it's not included in the headline $39 or $389 numbers.
- EU customers: VAT is added at your country's standard rate. If you have a valid EU VAT number, add it to your account in Company details — VAT is reverse-charged and the line drops to zero.
- UK customers: VAT applies at the UK rate. Same VAT-number-eligible reverse-charge for B2B.
- US customers: sales tax applies in states where TrekMail is registered. You can see exactly what's charged on the cancellation preview before confirming activation.
- Other regions: tax is added based on local rules. If your country requires us to collect tax but the tax field is missing on your invoice, contact support — we may need to update your billing address.
Tax behaviour on the White Label Lite line follows the same rules as your mail plan. If your mail plan invoice shows VAT, your White Label invoice will too.
Drive Storage discount
White Label Lite includes a 30% discount on Drive Storage that applies automatically every renewal cycle.
The discount is computed against the standard Drive Add-on price ladder. A 5 TB Drive Add-on at $75/month becomes $52.50/month while White Label Lite is active. The discount appears as a line on your Drive invoice, not on your White Label invoice.
If you cancel White Label Lite, the discount stops at the next Drive renewal — your existing paid cycle keeps the discount, but the cycle after that prices at the standard ladder again.
If you activate White Label Lite while Drive is already running, the discount applies at the next Drive renewal (not immediately mid-cycle). If you activate them in the opposite order — White Label first, then Drive — the discount applies immediately when you add Drive.
What appears on your invoice
Each successful charge produces a PDF invoice with:
- Line item: "White Label Lite — Monthly" or "White Label Lite — Yearly"
- Amount in your subscription's currency
- Tax line (if applicable)
- Your company details (set in Company details)
- The Stripe payment receipt details
You get one invoice per successful renewal. Resizes (which don't apply to White Label Lite — there are no tiers) and proration events also produce invoices.
Refunds policy
The default policy mirrors the rest of TrekMail:
- Cancellation mid-cycle: no refund. You keep the brand and domain live until cycle end.
- Yearly canceled mid-year: no refund. The brand stays live until the year ends.
- Charged in error / duplicate charge / system bug: full refund, contact support.
- Cancellation within 7 days of activation, with no DNS configured yet: discretionary refund — contact support and we'll handle case-by-case. This isn't a policy guarantee, but if you really tried to activate and ran into a blocker that's on us, we want to make it right.
If you have a refund question, the fastest path is to open a support ticket — billing issues are routed to the right person.
Common scenarios
"I'm canceling because I'm switching to yearly." Wait until close to your next monthly renewal, cancel, then resubscribe at yearly. You'll keep the brand live through the end of your current monthly cycle.
"My account changed currency — what happens to my White Label subscription?" Nothing automatic. The existing subscription continues to bill in its original currency. If you want the new currency, cancel and resubscribe.
"I deactivated the Drive Storage add-on but I'm still paying for White Label Lite. Do I get a discount somewhere?" No — the 30% Drive discount only applies when you have both. The White Label Lite price is $39 (or local equivalent) by itself, regardless of whether you also have Drive.
"Can I get a quote for an annual contract beyond one year, like a multi-year commitment?" Not through self-serve. Contact sales (via support) and we'll talk.
"Is there a free trial?" Not currently. Activation is instant and full-price. We don't have a try-before-you-buy flow.
