The Email Verifier uses a credit-based system. Credit cost depends on the verification mode:

  • Quick mode: 1 credit per email (22 checks)
  • Deep mode: 2 credits per email (all 25 checks including SMTP verification)

Free monthly credits

Every TrekMail plan includes free verification credits that reset monthly on your billing date:

Plan Monthly credits
Nano 10
Starter 100
Pro 300
Agency 1,000

Unused monthly credits do not roll over.

Purchasing extra credits

Need more? Buy credit packs from the Buy Credits button on the Email Verifier page:

Credits are purchased via inline card payment (Stripe Payment Element) — no redirect needed. Purchased credits never expire and are used only after your monthly allocation runs out.

How credits are deducted

  1. Monthly credits are used first — we deduct from your free monthly allocation
  2. Then purchased credits — only used when monthly credits are exhausted
  3. Credits are deducted upfront — when you click Start Verification, the full count is charged before verification begins. The "What will happen" summary in Step 1 (Prepare) shows the exact credit cost before you confirm
  4. Quick mode: 1 credit per email — regardless of the verification result (safe, invalid, unknown)
  5. Deep mode: 2 credits per email — the extra credit covers SMTP verification and additional checks

Examples:

  • 500 emails in Quick mode = 500 credits
  • 500 emails in Deep mode = 1,000 credits
  • 1,000 emails in Quick mode with 100 monthly credits remaining = 100 monthly + 900 purchased

Usage limits

There are no daily verification limits. Usage is bounded only by your credit balance (monthly allocation + purchased credits).

Monthly credit reset

  • Nano accounts: Monthly credits reset on the 1st of each month (via verifier:reset-free-credits cron command)
  • Paid accounts: Monthly credits reset on subscription invoice renewal

Viewing your balance

Your current credit balance is always visible:

  • In the Email Verifier sidebar
  • At the top of the Verifier page
  • Via API: GET /api/v1/verify/credits

Transaction history

View all credit transactions (purchases, monthly resets) from the Credits section of your account. Each transaction shows the date, type, amount, and any associated payment.
