Overview
The TrekMail affiliate program uses a three-tier commission structure. Your tier determines the percentage of each qualifying payment you earn. All new affiliates start at Tier 1 and can be upgraded at admin discretion as their performance develops.
Commission tiers
| Tier | Commission rate | Who is here |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 30% | All new affiliates on approval |
| Tier 2 | 35% | Promoted by admin based on performance |
| Tier 3 | 40% | Promoted by admin based on performance |
How commissions are applied
Your commission rate is applied to each qualifying payment made by a customer you referred. Specifically:
(Payment amount − Stripe processing fees) × your tier rate = your commission
The rate that applies is the rate active on your account at the time the customer pays. If your tier is upgraded mid-way through a customer's 12-month revenue share period, the new rate applies to payments made after the upgrade date.
Tier 1 — 30%
Every affiliate starts at Tier 1 upon approval. There is no waiting period — your first qualifying commission is calculated at 30%.
Tier 2 — 35%
Tier 2 upgrades are made by the TrekMail team at their discretion. There is no fixed threshold (for example, a set number of conversions per month) that automatically triggers a review. The team evaluates:
- Conversion volume and consistency over time
- The quality and fit of referred traffic
- Engagement with the program (active use of links, promotional activity, content quality)
If you believe you may be eligible for a tier upgrade, you can contact support to request a review. Include a brief description of your promotional activity and channels.
Tier 3 — 40%
Tier 3 follows the same process as Tier 2. Upgrades are made individually based on sustained, high-quality performance. Reaching Tier 2 does not guarantee a path to Tier 3 — each tier upgrade is an independent decision.
A note on tier upgrades
Tier changes are not automatic and are not based on a published score or points system. The program is kept intentionally selective so that higher tiers retain meaning. If you are producing consistent, high-quality referrals over an extended period, the team will take notice.
How your current tier is shown
Your current tier and rate are displayed on the Overview tab of your affiliate dashboard, next to your account status.
