Overview
The TrekMail Affiliate Program is application-only. Anyone can apply — there are no requirements around traffic minimums or platform type — but each application is reviewed individually. Applications are processed within 1–2 business days.
Before you apply
You can start preparing before your application is reviewed. Once you log in to TrekMail:
- Navigate to the Affiliate section in your dashboard sidebar.
- Your affiliate workspace is already accessible. You can explore every tab, create links, and review the Creative Kit while your application is pending.
- If you have not already done so, add your payout details (Stripe or PayPal) before submitting. This prevents delays when your first commission is ready to withdraw after approval.
Step-by-step: submitting your application
- Go to the Affiliate section and open the Apply tab or follow the prompt in the journey checklist on the Overview page.
- Fill in the application form:
- Your name — the name that will appear on your affiliate profile
- Website or primary channel — the main URL where you promote products (blog, YouTube, newsletter landing page, etc.). If you operate across multiple channels, list the primary one and describe the others in the next field.
- How you plan to promote TrekMail — describe your audience, the type of content you create, and the channels you use. The more specific, the better. Vague submissions like "social media" without context are harder to evaluate.
- Proof of your platform or audience — upload screenshots that give reviewers a clear picture of your reach. Accepted proof includes:
- Screenshots of your website or blog with analytics visible (Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.)
- Screenshots of a social media profile showing follower count and recent post engagement
- Screenshots of a newsletter with subscriber count or open rate data
- A YouTube or podcast channel page showing subscriber or listener count
- Any combination of the above if you operate across multiple channels
- Review the affiliate program terms and tick the confirmation checkbox.
- Click Submit application.
Your application moves to Pending status immediately. You will be notified by email once a decision is made.
While your application is pending, you can still use the workspace normally: create new links, inspect analytics, and accumulate commissions from eligible paid invoices. The only locked step is payout withdrawal.
What reviewers look at
TrekMail does not require a minimum audience size. Applications are evaluated on:
- Audience fit — does your audience include agencies, teams, founders, IT professionals, developers, or others who would use TrekMail?
- Promotion quality — do you produce original content (articles, videos, guides, comparisons) rather than spam-style placement?
- Credibility — is there genuine, existing activity on the platform or channel you submitted?
Having a larger, more active audience increases your chances of approval, but niche platforms with the right audience are frequently approved too.
After you apply
If your application is approved
You will receive an email confirmation. Your affiliate status becomes Active, and you can start promoting immediately using the links in your dashboard.
Note: Before your first payout can be processed, you must also submit a tax profile (W-9 for US affiliates, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E for international). The form is filled in directly in the dashboard — no PDF downloads or uploads required. See Setting Up Your Tax Profile for instructions.
If your application is rejected
You will receive an email explaining the decision. Rejections are final — resubmission is not available. If you believe the decision was made in error or your situation has changed significantly, contact TrekMail support to discuss your case.
Eligibility
The affiliate program is open to individuals and businesses from any country, including US citizens, residents, and non-residents, and international applicants worldwide.
The only exclusion is applicants based in or operating from countries or territories on US sanctions lists. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, check the current OFAC sanctions list or consult a legal professional before applying.
